Ways to Use Wine Corks: Get Creative With This Cork Painting Activity for Kids Crafts Playtime

Have a lot of wine corks laying around? (No judgment here!) Cork painting is a fun and economical activity for kids, and a great way to use those wine corks. Here we'll tell you how to make a tree, but don't limit your kids' wine cork painting to trees. Tell them the sky is the limit!

First, help your child (or let them do it if they're old enough to use scissors) cut a tree out of construction paper and glue it to a piece of white paper. Let them paint the trunk using non-toxic craft paint. Next, let your child dip wine corks into colorful craft paint and stamp "leaves" on their tree. Let their masterpiece dry before proudly hanging it up.

You could make cut out animals, cars, stars, the moon and other shapes to stamp.

You'll need:

Here's how to do it:

  1. Cut a tree using the brown construction paper and glue it to your white paper. You can paint the tree trunk and wait for it to dry.
  2. Get different paint colors ready. Using different size corks, dip them in the paint and use them to make leaves for your tree trunk made from construction paper.
  3. Wait for the artwork to dry and hang in a place where your kiddos can see it!
