3-Ingredient Pupsicle Recipe: A Healthy Ice Pops Recipe for Dogs Pets

If your family is anything like mine, your dogs and cats are more than pets – they’re family members (and spoiled rotten!). We want our dog Phinnie to be happy and healthy and to live as long as possible. So we feed her nutritious foods and also like to give her treats once in a while.

This dog ice pop recipe is perfect! It’s a cold and yummy summer treat and it’s also healthy. The yogurt is a great source of calcium and the blueberries are a superfood (yes, even for dogs!), rich in fiber and antioxidants. I hope your furry loved one enjoys these ice pops, too.

Recipe Notes

  • Remove from freezer and submerge in a bowl of cold water for a few seconds (this will make it easier to remove ice pops from the mold).

Here's how to make it:

  1. Mix water and yogurt together in a mixing bowl, ideally one with a spout, and set aside.
  2. Grab an ice pop mold. Add a few blueberries to each. Pour the yogurt/water mixture over the top of the berries until almost full, leaving room for the ice pop holders. Place the holders on top. Place in freezer for several hours until frozen solid.

Feed to your dog while holding onto the handle of the ice pop. Supervise the entire time to ensure that your dog doesn’t get the holder! An *alternative: instead of using the holders that come with the mold, freeze a dog treat (ex. a bone-shaped snack) in each popsicle and then the entire popsicle will be edible, holder and all.
