Don't Be a Houseplant: Why Women Should Grow Strong & Wild – Unapologetically Become the Fire Motherhood
A plant that grows in the wild doesn't exist by asking permission or being passive. It fights for its place in the world. It pushes through the earth and forces others to make room. It reaches toward the sun unapologetically and defiantly, refusing to accept anything less than the best spot.
Trim back a wild plant and it only sprouts more branches and grows larger blooms. It will not be forced into submission. It doesn't care what you want it to do. The only way to stop it is to pull it from the root and even then, you better be sure to get every last piece.
People joke about how houseplants are so fragile compared to wild plants. It's because when you try to control every aspect of a living thing's existence, you weaken it.
Be wild.
