Surviving a Breakup: I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends Relationships

Recently, the "situationship" I had going on for the past while ended. The end certainly reminded me as to why I try not to date or get attached too much (especially when there are red flags!), because of the aftermath. The hurt. The pain. The questions. All of the nights I lay awake at night wondering, "What is wrong with me?" or "Why am I not good enough?"

So naturally, I turned to my group, my core, my sorority sisters. We may be long removed from college, but they're the tried-and-true people I can count on. Trust me when I say, they don't judge me. They don't judge what I say, how I feel, what I think. They lift me up. They listen and sympathize. They roll their eyes when I tell them something that was said to me. They tell me I can do, and deserve, so much better. And they're right. They aren't pretentious or feeding me lies.

Sometimes, all you need to get through a particularly hard breakup is a night out with your friends. I'm so lucky to have them, and count on them in good times and bad.

What would we do without our girl pack? Our sisters? Our tribe? Sounds like you have a great one, Jessica Lawrence !
