This Is Your Life: How to Turn an Inspirational Quote Into DIY Wall Art (& the Perfect Gift) DIY
Years ago, my oldest daughter found a quote she loved. After finding a printable version online, my creative juices kicked into high gear and the result was the quote framed and given as a "just because" gift. Now my youngest daughter has one in her apartment and another is hanging in one of my guest rooms.
This craft can be customized to fit anyone's interests, favorite colors, decor, etc. My suggestion is to purchase lots of patterns, colors and designs in both sizes of the paper, then lay them out, mix and match, until you find the perfect one for whoever you are making it for (or yourself!). And be sure to read the quote. Really read the quote. It's great advice to live by.
You’ll need:
- 12 x 12-inch scrapbook paper or cardstock
- 8 1/2 x 11-inch scrapbook paper
- double-sided tape
- 12 x 12-inch frame
- printed out “This Is Your Life” quote (see below)
Here’s how to make it:
- Put the 8 1/2 x 11-inch paper into your printer. Print out the “This Is Your Life” quote on it.
- Using doubled-sided tape, secure the print out on the 12 x 12-inch piece of paper in the middle.
- Put the paper into your frame. Done!
