Toddler Refusing the High Chair? Here's Baby Gear to Help Bring 'Em to the Table! Baby Products

Is your toddler ready to transition out of the high chair and join you at the big table? Here’s a few ideas that may help keep her safe and you sane!

  • A chair that clips on to your dining table or bar: Love that you can take it anywhere with you and no legs to trip over. We have the Inglesina Fast. My biggest issue with it is the big gap between my baby’s belly and the edge of the table. She always ends up with food in her lap even with the optional tray. Another version of this design is by phil&teds. I haven’t used it, but it may be worth a try.
  • Booster seat: Just remove the tray and push the booster chair to the table. It's inexpensive and easy to clean.
  • Silicone placemat: We use this placemat by ezpz that's (almost) impossible to throw or push off of the table.
  • Adjustable height chair: We have three Stokke high chairs. My 3- and 6-year-old love them! We use one as a desk chair for the 6-year-old. They are more expensive, but it will last you for years.

Excellent suggestions, Sapna Mukherjee, MD ! We used the Stokke chairs when my kids were little. What a tried and true product that has withstood the test of time!!
