3 Tips to Help Parents Transition From Summer Time to School Time! Parenting School/Education

It can be challenging to transition from summer vacation to back-to-school structure. Here are some basics to help make moving forward easier!

  • Start With a Clean Slate: Clean out backpacks and tidy up launch pad areas. Have kids clean out their desks and set up for homework.

  • Photo Tradition: Make a habit of snapping a photo of your kids on the first day of school each year. It’s fun to see your kids grow through the years!
  • Kids’ Artwork: Clear last year’s artwork from the refrigerator and bulletin boards to make room for the coming year. If you find it hard to decide what of your kids’ artwork and schoolwork to save, try asking yourself, “If my Mom showed this to me, would I care?” Remember, you can always take a digital photo and let go of the original piece.

Here's to a great school year!
