My daughter loves food. One way we foster independence in her making an easy breakfast or grabbing a snack was to create her own food drawer. In it, we have healthy snacks like 

  • fruit
  • sugar-free nut butters
  • crunchy corn-based snacks
  • applesauce packets
  • oatmeal
  • protein-packed beef sticks

By providing this drawer, we foster a healthier relationship with food in her, and she is proud to make her own yummy plate!
