Age-appropriate Halloween Costumes Are Critical for Kids (a Must Read)! Holidays

“What are you going to be for Halloween?” That’s the question kids are asking this time of year. There are so many to choose from, but helping kids pick age-appropriate costumes is critical.

Freddie Krueger or sexy Monster High costumes aren’t suitable for children. Why? Kids have difficulty understanding what’s real. Letting your child wear risque or gory costumes can send mixed messages. Kids’ brains aren’t developed enough to disconnect scary, violent images or know that wearing suggestive clothes is not an appropriate image to project.

Even if they beg, sometimes you just need to say no!
