Halloween Fun: Let Kids Design Their Own Halloween Pumpkins! by Holly Budde

My preschooler wanted to design her Halloween pumpkin by herself. While she's not old enough for carving, I didn't want her to be disappointed that she couldn't create her own design. So I gathered up her finger paints, stickers and other art supplies and set her up, and off she went to work on her masterpiece. 

At age 4, "all by myself" is a big deal to her. I have discovered if I let her explore her imagination independently, everyone is happy. So gather up your art supplies and let kids create their pumpkins. It's much easier than carving, with no big mess. My daughter's "witch" is awesome!
