Gardening With Kids: Create a Backyard Garden as a Family for Fun, Health & Learning! by Elisa Schmitz

Gardening is fun and educational for kids, and it has a great end result - food they can eat! If you have some space in the yard, give them their own little plot of land to care for.

  • Take them to a garden center and let them choose the fruits and vegetables they want to plant.
  • Help them decide where the seeds or plants should go.
  • Have them tend their little garden by watering their plants and checking progress.

Kids can harvest the fruits of their labor, and best of all, eat them!

Ahh. I love this. We started a garden when the girls were little. And they still love it (even though they are too “busy” now to tend to it
