Easter Crafts for Kids: Felt Easter Eggs Are a Fun Spring Craft for Families

Kids will have a ball making these colorful felt Easter eggs. Make a bunch and use for decorating the house or table, embellishing gifts or make up fun games to play with them.

You'll need:

Here's how to make them:

  1. Cut egg shapes out of the felt (two per egg). To make it easier for kids, you can cut a pattern out of construction paper and pin it to the felt (see image below).
  2. Thread the desired color embroidery thread through the needle. Sew all around the egg until you have about a 1-inch opening.
  3. Stuff fiber fill into the opening to fill the egg. (Tip: Use a pencil to help push the fiber fill to the bottom of the egg.)
  4. Sew the opening closed. Cut the thread and make a small knot. Cut off any excess thread.
