Q: What are top Valentine’s Day décor trends this season?
It’s all about think pink – dusty rose pink that is. I’m just back from Maison Objet design show Paris, everything was blush pink! Debi Lilly Design mugs, vases and candles, inside Albertsons, Safeway and Jewel grocery stores equals the perfect DIY accents.

Q: What are easy DIY Valentine’s Day tips and tricks for spring?
- Create focal points inside your home – mantle, kitchen island, dining table – with floral, candles, rose petals.
- Wrap bright pink, red-hued accent ribbons around candles, vases and other décor.
- Fill vases with candies and add candles for colorful decor.

Q: What are fast Valentine’s Day tablescape looks on a budget?
- Place paper lacy doilies down your table for instant pop of color “base.”
- Layer vases of floral, candles and candies for texture and warmth.
- Add mini floral vase to your place settings, or sweets in small bowls.

Q: What flowers are best for Valentine’s Day décor?
- Roses are always the best seller – in red hues for the heart and love.
- Tulips are another winner and very long lasting. Did you know they grow daily in your vase!
- Hydrangeas are my favorite! They are large and easy to place in vases quickly.

Q: What are your favorite Valentine’s Day recipes?
- In February, I’m longing for bright, healthy color – crunchy vegetables and salads.
- Meze bars with tapas “mini” bites in Mediterranean flavors are good for you and delish.
- Cold-weather comfort foods like mac ‘n’ cheese and risotto with a veggie toppings bar warms the heart.
- Fill colorful mini glasses with sorbets and store in freezer until time to serve.
