Build Your Kid's Vocabulary With This Fun Game That Helps Teach “Big” Words!

I believe teaching a child new words sprouts a love for expression, so I created a game called Vocab Victories. Here's how to play with your kids:

  • Teach your kids a "BIG" word each week.
  • Then, they have to find ways to either use the word or catch others using it, or act out its definition, throughout the week to earn points.

For instance, this week's word was "oxymoron." My kids understood its meaning immediately, though it took some time to create an oxymoron or use one in a sentence. But at the end of the week, while checking my son's homework, I said, "Cool volcano," to which he yelled, "OXYMORON!”
