Mom, You Need to Learn to Say No - But There are Some Things You Need to Say Yes To! Like... by Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead
If you’re like me, you’re working on saying “no” because you’re guilty of taking on too much and becoming overwhelmed. It’s important to protect your time and make sure people don’t take advantage of your skills or generosity. That said, don’t forget to say “yes” to the good stuff.
- When a friend invites you to meet for coffee, say “yes!”
- Invitation to join a book club? “Yes!”
- Free yoga class? “Yes!”
Say yes to the things that will bring you joy, that will provide a break from work, kids, responsibilities, routine. We all need time off, a chance to relax and just be “us.”
Say yes to self-care!
