Watch out for loud music and earphones. Exposure to eight hours of 90-decibel noise can cause hearing loss. Cut the time in half for each additional 5 decibels. For example, it takes four hours of exposure to 95 decibels of noise to cause hearing loss. Adjust accordingly.
