This is so timely and helpful, Anna Olson DNP, APRN, ANP/GNP-BC . I have been hearing the term telehealth so much because of the coronavirus pandemic, and it makes so much sense. I love that people can get healthcare from the comfort and safety of their homes. Thank you for educating us about this. Is this available in every state yet? We appreciate all you do!
Anna Yoder DNP, APRN, ANP/GNP-BC
The answer is both Yes and Maybe.
1. Yes. Telehealth is legal and allowable in every state.
2. Maybe. Telehealth services have to be provided by a NP, PA or MD with a license in the state you reside. Most likely you will be able to find a provider in your state.
3. What you pay for the visit depends if you pay out of pocket or insurance. Insurance companies vary on what they cover.
