Aside from skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. This year roughly 165,000 men – or one in nine – will be diagnosed, but compared to other cancers, prostate cancer has a good prognosis. Here’s a quick snapshot of symptoms men should be on the lookout for:

Of course, as with all cancers, not all risk is created equal. If you have a family history of prostate cancer, or if you are older, obese or African American, your risk increases. Starting at age 50, men should consider being screened for prostate cancer, and as early as 40 if they are higher risk.
