Pregnant and got the flu shot? A study has found that a flu shot during pregnancy will protect your newborn against the flu for about two months after delivery. Researchers discovered that the effectiveness of the shot went from 85.6 percent for the first eight weeks to 25 to 30 percent from ages 8 weeks to 16 weeks, and also 16 to 24 weeks. The flu vaccine is not approved for infants under the age of 6 months.

The study was published in the journal JAMA Pediatrics. Read more about the study at HealthFinder.gov.
