Sometimes the straps on sandals just don’t have enough holes in them to be snug enough on our heel. Walking is uncomfortable and we fear losing a shoe. No worries! And no need to run to the cobbler!
Here's a simple DIY way to tighten the straps on your sandals:
- Lay the strap flat on a surface you don’t mind scuffing, like a piece of wood.
- Mark the next notch up from the last hole with a small pen mark.
- Hammer a nail into the strap, making a hole. If the hole from the nail isn’t big enough, work it open a little more with the tine of a fork.
You’re finished! You can walk with confidence and your sandal won’t pop off like Cinderella’s did at midnight.
