Vomiting Can Quickly Lead to Dehydration: 5 Signs to Look For!

The dreaded awakening in the middle of the night to, “Mom, I’m sick. I just threw up,” is bound to happen this season. Stomach bugs are horrible for parents and kids alike. If a child is vomiting, watch for signs of dehydration. These signs include:

  • less urination
  • a dark-colored urine
  • dry mouth and tongue
  • no tears when crying
  • sunken cheeks or eyes

If your child can’t hold down any liquids and is dehydrated, call your doctor. After hours, go to the emergency room.
