You are powering through your morning, feeling energetic and productive. Then you eat lunch and around 2 p.m. your energy takes a dive. You've hit the afternoon slump hour. Before reaching for a cup of coffee or a soda, try these natural remedies to get your energy back.
- Get outside and take a brisk walk. If you can't get outside, try doing a quick circuit of lunges, squats, push-ups and jumping jacks.
- Drink water. Cool water can be more effective than caffeine to wake you up in the afternoon.
