Want to protect your knees when you exercise? Follow these simple rules.
- When jumping, always land with a soft knee. Think of trying to make a soft, quiet landing – it will help you to land naturally in a way that protects the knee.
- When doing squats or lunges, don't let your knee go forward of your toes – your weight should be remain toward your heels.
- Don't hyper-extend your knees. Always keep a very slight bend in the knees, even when standing.
Remember, pain is your body's way of telling you something's wrong. Listen to your knees!
