Hotels are probably one of the hardest hit industries during this. So the procedures they are taking are smart. I’d also add that most hotels are not rebooking any rooms for 72hours after they have been occupied so I’d check hotel policy on that. It gives a bit more peace of mind knowing that the room your checking into has been cleaned, sanitized and aired out for 3 days. Before hand, I’d ask for extra towels, bring some cleaning supplies to additionally wipe down door knobs, remote, faucet, etc. No need for room service. It’s ok to leave your bed unmade - it’s vacation time. Take the stairs if possible so no encounters in elevators and be sure to leave a tip even though you didn’t get daily cleaning, the maids are still working hard to clean those rooms after your gone or before you arrive.
