Not All Breast Changes Mean Cancer: What You Need to Know!

Breast changes are normal and often are a part of being healthy. During a women’s menstrual period, her breasts may feel:

  • swollen
  • tender
  • even in pain

This is normal and not an indicator of cancer. You may even feel a lump from extra fluid. These changes should go away at the end of your cycle. Some lumps are caused by changes in hormones, which can be normal. Still, talk to your healthcare provider about these changes to see if further testing should be done.
