Do you avoid avocados because of all those extra calories? Don’t. According to AuthorityNutrition.com, a study showed that a group of women who ate half an avocado at lunch with a salad or other meal stayed full longer and snacked far less.
The group eating the avocado felt 23 percent more satisfied and had a 28 percent lower desire to eat over the next five hours. Most were able to hold out until dinner and they lost more weight than the group that didn’t eat an avocado. Nutritionally, these green gems contain over 20 vitamins and minerals and healthy fat. Sounds like it's time to start loving on the avocado!
