Crispy Ranch Chickpeas Recipe Is How to Snack Right (3 Ingredients) Snacks Middle Eastern Recipes Gluten-free Budget Recipes Low Sodium Recipes Side Dishes Vegan Low Sugar Recipes
Chickpeas are a nutritional powerhouse. Chickpeas may help control blood sugar, aid in bone and heart health, improve digestion, aid in weight loss and help build strong muscles. Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are high in fiber and protein, and that's just the start of the health benefits of chickpeas.
After making my creamy garlic sauce, I had a whole can of chickpeas that needed to be used. My daughter suggested making crispy baked chickpeas, so that is exactly what happened. After staring at my spices for entirely too long, I decided to keep it simple and made crispy ranch chickpeas to snack on. Delicious.
To make this high-protein recipe, you will need a can of chickpeas, olive oil (check out the health benefits of olive oil) and dry ranch seasoning. The chickpeas are tossed in the oil and ranch, then baked until crispy and golden.
Not only can you snack on these tasty chickpeas by just popping them into your mouth, you can also add them to recipes, use them as a garnish or serve them as a healthy side dish.

Ingredients
- 15 ounces (1 can) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dry ranch seasoning
Recipe Notes
- Save the aquafaba, which is liquid in the can of chickpeas, and use it for recipes and as a vegan egg substitute. This creamy garlic sauce uses aquafaba.
- I like to use a mesh strainer to rinse and drain my chickpeas. You could also use a colander.
- Line the baking dish or baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- Store the chickpeas in an airtight container.
Here's how to make it:
- Dry the chickpeas on a paper towel to remove as much moisture as you can.
- Put the chickpeas into a baking dish or onto a baking sheet. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the ranch seasoning. Add salt and pepper, to taste. Stir to coat the chickpeas.
- Bake in a preheated 400-degree F oven for about 30 minutes, stirring a few times.
- Remove and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.
