Southwest Pork Steaks Recipe With Creamy Black Bean & Corn Salsa (20 Minutes) Pork Dinner Grilling Gluten-free Mexican Recipes
Pork steaks are right under pork chops on my favorite ingredients list. Pork steaks are flavorful, inexpensive and cook up quickly on the grill or in a skillet. This quick and easy pork steaks recipe is the perfect porky dinner to make when you either have leftover creamy black bean and corn salsa – or want to have leftover black bean and corn salsa!
The combination of hot, seasoned pork and cool and creamy black bean and corn salsa really hits the mark. Here is what you need to gather from your fridge, pantry and spice rack: pork steaks, chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cayenne, salt, black pepper, olive oil and a bowl of creamy black bean and corn salsa. If you don't have the salsa already prepared, all you need additional is a can of healthy black beans, frozen corn, red bell pepper, green onions, red onion, sour cream, mayonnaise and red wine vinegar.
Tender and juicy, these Mexican-spiced pork steaks make the perfect fresh and light dinner. Count the vegetable salsa as one side dish and add another to complete the meal – or serve as a complete meal with no additional sides. I served mine with a garden salad.
Pro Tip: Always have tortilla chips around when making this dish to dip into the creamy black bean and corn salsa. It's delicious!
