This sweet tea pie is wonderful eaten after dinner with a cup of coffee. To make this southern pie recipe you will need sweet tea, granulated sugar, flour, cornmeal, salt, eggs, butter, lemons for juicing and zesting, powdered sugar and a ready made pie crust.

- 1/2 cup Milo's Famous Sweet Tea
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- lemon zest, for garnish
- powdered sugar, for garnish

Recipe Notes
- If Milo's sweet tea is not available in your area, use your favorite sweet tea.
- Fresh lemon juice is best, but you could use bottled lemon juice.
- Zest the lemon using a microplane or a fine grater.
Here's how to make it:
- Prepare ready-to-serve pie crust according to package instructions.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cornmeal and salt with a wooden spoon.
- Add eggs and egg yolks to the dry ingredients and beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until combined.
- Then add tea, butter and lemon juice and beat until combined. Pour into prepared crust.
- Bake until set, approximately 45 minutes. Let cool completely on a wire baking rack. Refrigerate until chilled.
- Dust pie with powdered sugar and lemon zest. Serve slice with a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
