Crispy 3-Ingredient Cuban Pork Chops Recipe Is a Tasty 15-Minute Dinner Pork Dinner Gluten-free Budget-friendly Low Sodium Recipes

It's not a secret that pork chops are a favorite of mine to cook for dinner. Pork chops are versatile, cook quickly and are a budget-friendly ingredient. I also love trying new spices and spice blends. My latest discovery is a Cuban spice blend.

Cuban spice blends differ from brand to brand, but typically include garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, bell pepper and a citrus note. My blend was made with orange peel, adding a delicious citrusy back note to the pork chops.

To make this simple and easy, gluten-free pork chop recipe you will need three ingredients: pork chops, olive oil and a Cuban seasoning blend. The pork chops cook up quickly in a skillet and are moist, juicy and crispy.

Serve these pork chops for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with Cuban fried potatoes and two-ingredient creamed spinach.

Recipe Notes

  • Check the ingredient list and see if your Cuban spice blend has salt. Mine did not, so I added salt to the pork chops. But if your blend does, you may want to skip this step.
  • I used thin-cut pork chops which cook very quickly. You can use thicker pork chops or even boneless pork chops, but that will affect cooking time.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Rub or drizzle the pork chops with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides with the Cuban seasoning and salt pepper, if desired (see Recipe Notes).
  2. Heat a little olive oil in a skillet. Add the pork chops and cook until golden brown and crispy on one side.
  3. Flip the pork chops over and continue to cook until cooked through.

Love the Latin flavors in this recipe.

So much flavor, I can already smell this cooking in my kitchen. Cuban food is similar to Puerto Rican food, so I know I will love this!
