You either love or hate beets, or so they say. All we know is that beet recipes are always fan favorites at 30Seconds, so we think there are more lovers than haters out there. This air fryer recipe is one you need to add to your recipe rotation ASAP.

This vegetable recipe requires minimal ingredients and minimal prep. All you need to make these savory beets is an air fryer, beets, garlic powder, olive oil, salt and black pepper. The beets cook in about 18 minutes and are crispy on the outside, and soft and creamy on the inside. The recipe says to peel the beets, but you can leave the peel on. Beet skin is edible, so it is personal preference. 

The color of beets can rub off on fingers, clothing or counters, so clean up quickly to avoid staining. You can wear food-grade gloves to protect your hands while working with beets.

Ingredients

• 3 beets (medium size), peeled (if desired) and cut into wedges
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Here's how to make it: 

1. Put the beets into a mixing bowl. Drizzle with the olive oil, sprinkle with the garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Toss.
2. Put the beets and garlic into the air fryer basket. (Sometime I like to add some whole garlic cloves, too.)
3. Cook at 390 degrees F for about 20 minutes or until tender. (You may have to cook the beets in batches. Do not overcrowd the basket.) Store any leftover beets in an airtight container for up to five days.
