Cake mix cookies are one of my favorite to bake. Using a cake mix cuts out prep time and the amount of ingredients needed for the cookie recipe. When we have family get-togethers, no matter how many desserts are on the table, the cookies always go first. This easy five-ingredient chocolate walnut cookie recipe is no exception.

Here is your shopping list for these easy cake mix cookies: a box of chocolate cake mix, two eggs, vegetable oil, chocolate chips and walnuts. The batter is mixed together in one bowl, popped onto cookie sheets and baked.

Ingredients
- 16 ounces (1 box) chocolate cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Here's how to make it:
- Put the cake mix into a mixing bowl. Make a well in the center. Add the eggs and beat lightly. (I used a triple chocolate fudge cake mix, but regular chocolate, devil's food, milk chocolate or even German chocolate would work.)
- Add the oil.
- Stir until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Put the dough by tablespoons full onto parchment paper-covered baking sheets.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for 12 minutes or until the edges are just beginning to set. If you like crisp cookies, bake for up to 15 minutes. Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
