What can I say? It's bacon. No matter how you make it, bacon is delicious. I use this sweet and spicy bacon recipe to add a little kick to ice creams, dessertscorn muffins, cornbread or steaks. You can also enjoy the crispy bacon on its own for breakfast or brunch. Use your imagination!

For this eye-opening sweet and spicy bacon recipe you'll need thick-cut bacon, brown sugar, chili powder and freshly ground black pepper. The seasonings are sprinkled on the bacon before it is baked in the oven until crispy and irresistible. So quick and easy!

You can also play around and experiment with flavors. Try espresso and brown sugar, or sprinkle chopped pistachios and drizzle honey before popping them in the oven. The combinations are endless. Have fun!

  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
