Quick Copycat Restaurant Tartar Sauce Recipe From You Know Where Sauces/Condiments Seafood

Tartar sauce is a must-have condiment with seafood, especially fried seafood. Fried fish, fried shrimp, fried clams, fried oysters, fried crawfish tails and even hushpuppies welcome a dip in the creamy mayonnaise-based sauce. Red Lobster's tartar sauce is a favorite of people who frequent the popular seafood restaurant chain. Red Lobster's tartar sauce is made with mayonnaise and features onion, pickle relish or chopped pickles and carrots. The creamy tartar sauce is a little sweeter than some – and it's delicious!

This copycat recipe is a creamy combination of mayonnaise, minced onion, chopped sweet pickles or pickle relish, finely grated carrot and sugar. Season with black pepper and salt and pop it into the refrigerator. You can eat the homemade tartar sauce immediately, but if you have time, let it chill in the fridge so the flavors can blend together.

If you're watching your sugar intake, you can skip the additional sugar. The tartar sauce will still be fabulous on that fish. Serve this easy tartar sauce with your favorite seafood. You could even use it as a sandwich spread for a shrimp, oyster or fish po'boy sandwich.
