All you need to bake the perfect salmon is olive oil, salmon fillets, sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. The olive oil is spread over parchment paper in a casserole dish. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the olive oil-coated parchment and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper. Bake in a hot oven for about 12 to 15 minutes. That's it!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 5 ounces each)
  • sea salt and freshly ground pepper

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil all over the parchment paper and spread to coat. 
  2. Put the salmon skin side down into the dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. (If you're adding any additional seasonings or chopped garlic, add it now.) 
  3. Bake in a preheated 450-degree F oven for about 12 to 15 minutes.
