Best 4-Ingredient Grilled Pork Chops Recipe Is Flavor to the Bone Grilling Pork Dinner

Being from Texas, I grill pretty much year-round. One of my favorite meats to grill is pork chops. Usually I sprinkle a dry seasoning on my pork chops before grilling, but this time I wanted to do something different and had time to marinate the pork. This garlicy honey soy grilled pork chop was what I came up with.

You can use whatever type of pork chop you like – from thick butterflied pork chops to thin bone-in pork chops to boneless pork chops. It's no secret that I love cooking thin-cut pork chops, so that was my chop of choice. The pork chops are marinated in a mixture of honey, low-sodium soy sauce and garlic. Crushed red pepper flakes can be added for a touch of spice. Marinate the pork chops for at least 30 minutes before removing and grilling until cooked through. How long to cook them will depend on the thickness of the pork.

If you don't have an indoor or outdoor grill, you could cook the pork chops in a grill pan. Serve these juicy grilled pork chops with a vegetable and a salad. I served mine with roasted cabbage wedges and baked baby yellow squash.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 30 minutes to marinate
Cook Time: 5 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 35 to 45 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • crushed red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Here's how to make it:

  1. Stir together the honey, soy sauce, garlic and crushed red pepper flakes in a shallow dish or in a plastic food storage zipper bag. Add the pork chops and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight.
  2. Heat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the pork chops from the marinade and cook until well browned and cooked through, about 2 to 8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the pork chops.
