Creamed spinach is one of my favorite side dishes. There are so many different ways to make creamed spinach, from steakhouse creamed spinach to stovetop creamed spinach to garlic creamed spinach to spanakopita creamed spinach. With just three ingredients, this creamed spinach recipe is one of the easiest to make.

Frozen spinach is cooked in a saucepan until hot. Drain the juice that the spinach releases, and then stir in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese until everything is hot and melted together. You can simply season with salt and pepper, or add garlic powder, onion powder or even Cajun seasoning.

Did you know that creamed spinach is a classic South African recipe that is often served as the main dish? Who knew? Serve this easy spinach recipe as a side dish (or main dish if you feel so inclined) with chickenpork, lamb, beef or seafood. You could also serve it with tortilla chips, crackers, pita bread or naan bread as an appetizer. Throw in some artichokes and you have a creamy spinach artichoke dip.
