Ingredients
- 1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons minced red onion
- 3 - 4 teaspoons lime juice (or to taste)
Here's how to make it:
- Mash the avocado in a bowl.
- Add the cottage cheese, garlic, red onion and lime juice. Mash to combine. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. (If you don't want any chunks of cottage cheese in your guac, you can give it a quick whirl in a blender. Squeeze the lime through a mesh strainer to easily remove the seeds. If you don't have lime, use lemon. Add in whatever ingredients you enjoy. Minced jalapeno would add some heat.)
- Serve immediately. (Guacamole is best eaten right away, but you can put it in an airtight container in the fridge.)
