Skillet Pizza Casserole Recipe: This Crustless Pizza Recipe Is Low Carb & Keto Friendly Budget-friendly Dinner Casseroles Pizza Pork

Good lawd!! This easy skillet pizza casserole recipe is so easy and just plain good. There's no crust in this pizza casserole recipe, so it's low in carbs and fits into your keto diet.

The kid-friendly and budget-friendly recipe is made with Italian sausage, ground pork (you could use ground beef), Italian seasonings, garlic (measure it with your heart), spaghetti sauce (use your favorite), mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and pepperoni. But those are my favorite toppings, so you can change and adjust the ingredients so it is your favorite.

Be sure to cook this pizza casserole in an ovenproof skillet so you can finish it under the broiler. You can buy your Italian sausage in bulk (ground up) or in casings. If you buy it in casings, either remove the sausage from the casings and crumble or slice into bite-sized pieces. Bone apple tea.

Cuisine: Italian
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 to 25 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • dried Italian seasoning
  • chopped garlic (because duh)
  • 1 jar (23 ounces) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 package (8 ounces) thick-cut shredded mozzarella cheese
  • pepperoni (or whatever toppings you'd like)
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Here's how to make it:

  1. Brown the Italian sausage and pork together in an ovenproof skillet until cooked through. Drain fat. Add desired amount of garlic and dried Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  2. Pour in the spaghetti sauce. Mix well.
  3. Sprinkle with the cheese.
  4. Add the toppings.
  5. Pop the skillet under the broiler until hot and melted.
