Eating oatmeal for breakfast – or even as a snack – has many health benefits. Instead of reaching for one of those premade envelopes of oatmeal, it's so easy to make your own. This easy applesauce oatmeal recipe has just four simple ingredients and cooks in five minutes.

Top this applesauce oatmeal with your favorite toppings. Dates, raisins, cinnamon, dried fruit, chopped nuts or even fresh fruit are healthy choices. For a little sweetness, add a sprinkling of brown sugar or a squeeze of honey, agave or maple syrup. To make this oatmeal even tastier, prepare it with homemade applesauce
