Spicy Mediterranean Bread Dipping Oil Recipe With Parmesan & Garlic Sauces/Condiments

One of my favorite things at an Italian restaurant is when they serve hot, fresh bread with olive oil for dipping. There's just something tearing off a piece of bread and soaking it in good-quality olive oil that's flavored with herbs and garlic. Mmm.

Recently, I was served a spicy olive oil dip for bread that had crushed red pepper flakes, garlic, herbs and Parmesan cheese. The hint of spiciness added a new depth of flavor – and who doesn't love Parmesan cheese? Serve this easy Mediterranean dipping oil with bread to start a great meal, or brush it on chicken, fish or shrimp when cooking or grilling.

Cuisine: Italian
Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add black pepper and sea salt, to taste.

Note: If you have time, let the mixture sit for a while to infuse more flavor into the olive oil.

I'm with you, Donna John . Bread an olive oil could be dinner on its own, LOL! Thanks for the great recipe.
