This gluten-free whipped chocolate treat is so easy to make and only requires four ingredients: heavy whipping cream, sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder and milk. The grated chocolate garnish is optional. Using an electric mixer, you beat the ingredients until peaks form. Ingredients
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups skim milk (or milk of choice)
- grated chocolate or cocoa powder, for garnish (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Pour the heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl. Stir in the cocoa powder and sugar. With an electric mixer or whisk, beat until soft peaks form. (Do not over-whip or you will get cream. You can use an electric mixer, but you also could try to make it without one by using a whisk and beating the ingredients rapidly until peaks form. You can add more or less sugar, depending on how sweet you like it.)
- Fill two glasses with milk (it can be hot or cold). Top with a dollop of the whipped hot chocolate. Sprinkle with grated chocolate or more cocoa powder, if desired. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
