Never heard of Mozzarella in Carrozza? Mozzarella in Carrozza (mozzarella in a carriage) is basically an Italian grilled cheese sandwich – or the closest you'll get to one. And it's incredibly delicious. Melted mozzarella cheese oozes from crispy bread that's fried in a breadcrumb crust.

This is a favorite in Italy, and we can understand why. We think you should serve this for Sandwich Night as soon as possible! To make this Italian sandwich recipe you will need eggs, garlic, panko, sandwich bread, mozzarella cheese and olive oil to fry the sandwich in.

This cheese sandwich is sure to please adults and kids! Serve this crunchy, cheesy sandwich for lunch or for dinner with a caprese salad, spring mix salad, garden salad or Caesar salad
