Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cups green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce 

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine the ground pork and cornstarch in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine. 
  2. Combine the hoisin sauce, sugar, soy sauce and crushed red pepper flakes, if using, in a small bowl. Set aside. 
  3. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and green beans. Cook until pork is browned, about 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Add the sauce to the skillet and cook about 2 to 3 minutes.
