This easy blueberry sauce recipe can be poured over pancakes or waffles, drizzled on yogurt or ice cream, stuffed into crepes or spooned onto muffins or cheesecake. How about slathered on grilled chicken or beef or as a dip for meatballs? Delish.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put half of the blueberries into a saucepot. Add the 1 cup water, sugar and vanilla. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and cook until blueberries start to burst, stirring often.
  2. Combine the cornstarch and water. Pour it into the blueberry mixture. Cook for about 1 minute and then add the remaining blueberries.
