Fall means apple season. Apples cooked in butter, sugar and cinnamon are a southern staple. Not only is this fried apple recipe easy (like Sunday morning), but it's incredibly delicious!

To make these gluten-free southern fried apples you just need four ingredients: apples, butter, granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. The sliced apples cook in a skillet until soft, sweet and delicious.

Serve this easy fried apples recipe topped with whipped cream, spooned over vanilla ice cream, on grilled pork chops or chicken, or use as a pie filling or pancake topping. It's very friendly and happy wherever you want to use it.
