Hot Cranberry Apple Cider Recipe Warms You Up From the Inside Out Beverages Holidays

Tired of hot chocolate? OK, that's probably not the case, but if you want to change things up a bit sip on this cranberry apple cider recipe by the fire. This hot holiday cider drink will warm you up from the inside!

The hot cranberry apple cider is made with apple cider (of course), cranberry juice, cinnamon, cloves and brown sugar. It's sweet, tart and delicious to sip on. Serve with a cinnamon stick and a sprig of rosemary for some greenery. This is a wonderful Christmas recipe to serve at family get-togethers. And the kids can drink it because it is non-alcoholic

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts apple cider
  • 1 1/2 quarts 100% cranberry juice
  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • fruit and fresh rosemary, for garnish

Here’s how to make it:

  1. Combine the apple cider, cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves and brown sugar in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes. Strain, if desired.
  2. Pour into mugs and garnish with fresh cranberries, chopped apples, orange slices and a sprig of rosemary.
