Blistered Shishito Peppers Recipe Is the Easiest Appetizer On the Planet (3 Ingredients, 5 Minutes) Vegetarian Appetizers Vegetables Snacks Low Sugar Recipes Low Sodium Recipes Low Carb Recipes Vegan
Shishito peppers are mild peppers from East Asia ā and probably the simplest appetizer or snack you'll ever make. Shishito peppers need nothing but a little salt for seasoning. Hands down, this is one of my favorite things to eat.
To make this low-carb blistered shishito peppers recipe you only need three simple ingredients. Here is your short gluten-free shopping list: shishito peppers, olive oil and salt. The peppers cooks up in a skillet in about five minutes. Sometimes I'll eat them straight out of the pan!
Variation: Drizzle the cooked peppers with a little soy sauce or tamari.
Not only do you get a simple, healthy appetizer or snack fast, but you also get the health benefits of shishito peppers while you enjoy them. Serve these charred shishito peppers as a low-calorie snack, appetizer, side dish or use them in salads or other recipes.
It's said that about one out of 10 peppers will have a little heat. Of the numerous bags eaten at my house, I've only ran across two that were even mildly warm.
