All you need to make grandma's gluten-free fudge is butter, granulated sugar, evaporated milk, semisweet chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, chopped nuts (optional) and vanilla extract.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 sticks (12 tablespoons) butter
• 3 cups granulated sugar
• 2/3 cup evaporated milk
• 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
• 7 ounces (1 jar) marshmallow creme
• 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Here's how to make it:

1. Melt the butter in the microwave in a large bowl, about 1 to 2 minutes. 
2. Add the sugar and milk. Mix well. Microwave on high another 5 minutes or until it begins to boil, stirring after 3 minutes.
3. Mix well and scrape down the bowl. Microwave another 5 1/2 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes.
4. Gradually stir in the chocolate chips until they melt. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. (The nuts are optional. My grandma would usually make two batches, one with nuts and one without.)
5. Pour fudge into a 13x9-inch baking pan that's been lightly sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Cool at room temperature. Cut into squares. Store the fudge in an airtight container.
