When I'm looking for an easy winner winner chicken dinner, I often turn to my slow cooker. The slow cooker simplifies meal prep while creating some seriously delicious dinners. This savory slow-cooker honey mustard chicken recipe is so flavorful. Based on the enticing aroma alone, we simply couldn't wait to dig in!
This creamy slow-cooker chicken recipe is so moist and juicy, and it's packed with protein (learn about the health benefits of protein). The honey mustard flavor is accented by butter and heavy cream, so seriously, what's not to love? There's also Worcestershire sauce, garlic and oregano (check out the health benefits of garlic and the health benefits of oregano), which enhance the flavor even more.
To make this amazing slow-cooker recipe, you'll need to gather the following gluten-free ingredients: boneless/skinless chicken breasts, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, butter, minced garlic, oregano and heavy cream. You mix up the sauce, pour it over the chicken in the slow cooker then cook the chicken on low for about six hours. You add the heavy cream before shredding the chicken, then serve it up.
This tasty and tender shredded chicken is delicious served over rice, pasta or mashed potatoes, or alongside fresh vegetables or your favorite side dishes. I served it over rice with a side of fresh broccoli, but next time, we plan to heap it onto our favorite Hawaiian rolls!
